Big Blue Surf Comp 22′
Long Line Surf School will be hosting the 10th Big Blue Surf Comp to celebrate our Long Line 10th Anniversary which has seen a community grow and friendships created. This year will be be raising awareness and aid for our friends “Wave Project NI”.
The Wave Project runs therapeutic surf sessions and courses for young people in the UK who are deemed to be socially isolated. This can be through mental health difficulties, rural isolation, family problems, disability or traumatic experiences such as bereavement. Our surfing projects are evidence-based and designed to help clients to improve their self-confidence, resilience and motivation. The Wave Project began in Northern Ireland in 2018 as a volunteer led project. To date, The Wave Project Northern Ireland has provided surf therapy to hundreds of young people in the Portrush & Benone area.
