Frequently asked Questions about our Kayak Hire equipment
Where do we meet?
Our meeting location is based at Swanns Bridge Glamping which is situated on the River Roe. Once you enter the site take the first left which will bring you to Long Line river entry.
Address: 227 Sea Coast Rd, Limavady BT49 9EF
Do I need to be able to swim?
It’s ideal if you can swim 50 metres. If this is not the case we do ask that all participants can tread water while feeling comfortable wearing a buoyancy aid. The river roe is dark water and can change in depth from 1m – 3m.
Do you have wetsuits sizes for everyone and will they be warm enough in winter?
All wetsuit rentals are available in all sizes from Junior XS right up to Adult XXXL. Our wetsuits are classic fit C-skins wetsuits specifically designed for surf schools. We only stock 5:3mm wetsuits which are designed for winter and will keep your warm all year round. Please click here to find classic wetsuit size chart.
Where can I leave my valuables?
When collecting surf hire equipment we recommend you can leave your belongings in your car and we can look after keys while you are in the water.
What happens if we can’t go on river due to weather conditions?
Nobody can control the weather, so in the unlikely event we’re not able to offer kayak hire because of dangerous weather conditions, Long Line Surf School will ensure that your hire is either rescheduled for a more appropriate date/time or a refund will be given if this rescheduling is not possible.
Are there any age limits?
Minimum age for individual booking is 16 years old unless accompanied by a guardian. If accompanied by a guardian our minimum age is 12 years old for single kayaks and 6 years old for double kayaks.
